Practice and Consolidation
If parents want additional support at home, we can provide short practice tasks to reinforce key skills. These tasks are always manageable, designed to build confidence, and aligned to lesson content. We never overload children with unnecessary work.
Ongoing Communication and Feedback
Clear communication with families is one of the most important parts of tuition. Parents always know how their child is progressing, what they are learning, and how close they are to their goals.
- End-of-topic feedback after every session
- Termly progress reports with next steps
- Opportunities to ask questions at any time
- Honest, practical advice on what's needed
- Guidance on how to support learning at home
Termly Reports and Next Steps
At the end of each term, you receive a detailed written report summarising your child's progress. Reports are aligned with National Curriculum expectations and can support home education records, meetings with schools, SEND reviews, revision planning, and long-term academic goals.
- Progress made against the personalised learning plan
- Strengths, challenges and areas for continued learning
- Any adjustments needed to the learning plan
- Recommended next steps and goals
How every lesson is structured
Lessons are taught at a calm, manageable pace that suits your child's confidence and learning needs. Each session follows a consistent six-part framework.
We revisit what was covered last time to reinforce retention before introducing anything new.
Clear, step-by-step teaching of a new concept aligned to the National Curriculum and the child's learning plan.
Teacher and child work through examples together, with scaffolding and modelling before independent practice.
The child attempts questions independently while the teacher provides support, correction and encouragement.
Honest, constructive feedback is given on strengths and areas to improve — always positively framed.
The session closes with a clear summary of what was learned and what to expect in the next lesson.

- Participating more in school lessons
- Trying harder because they feel more capable
- Reading and comprehension improving
- Writing structure and accuracy developing
- Arithmetic and maths reasoning strengthening
- Problem-solving approaches improving
- Exam confidence and technique growing
- Working speed increasing steadily
How lessons work for different ages
Our approach adapts to every child's stage, learning style and subject needs — from primary foundations to GCSE exam preparation.
Calm, visual and focused
Lessons are calm, focused and visual, with lots of modelling, repetition and confidence-building. We meet the child where they are and build steadily from there.
Bridging the gap
Lessons focus on strengthening key skills, filling gaps, and building independent thinking before GCSE. Subject-specific teaching from Year 7.
Exam-ready preparation
Lessons include exam technique, past papers, topic-by-topic teaching and revision planning aligned to AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas.
Scaffolded and adapted
Lessons are scaffolded, structured and adapted to each child's processing needs, pace and confidence. ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and EAL all supported.
Flexible pathways
Lessons follow personalised pathways with flexible daytime scheduling and progress reports suitable for Local Authority use.
